Gulliver’s Blocks
Gullivers Blocks, Baltimore MD, 1980
3 Stainless Steel Cubes, 30 inches each and 3/16 inch thickness steel.
This sculpture is comprised of three cubes evolved from a single falling cube on a particular site. A cube is rolled down a hill. The procedure is repeated a number of times and filmed. Derived from the film are three attitudes of the cube. Each site will produce different permutations. This piece was originally conceived for the Columbus Park Sculpture Competition, Yonkers, New York 1974.
